It’s another busy day for Laois GAA with the county’s ladies football and camogie teams both in championship action.
The ladies footballers are in action in a must win final group game against Kildare with a place in the All-Ireland intermediate semi finals at stake.
This game is in Netwatch Cullen Park at 1pm and Laois simply have to win to have any chance of advancing to the last four.
The outcome of today’s games in this group will determine who between Laois, Kildare and Clare will reach the semi finals.
Donie’s Brennan’s Laois must defeat Kildare by ten points – but they must also win by one more point than whatever Clare defeat Sligo by.
Meanwhile, it’s straight knockout for the camogie team, who make the trip to Tipperary to play Kerry in the quarter final of the All-Ireland intermediate championship.
They are off to the home of Tipperary Camogie as they will take on the Kingdom in The Ragg at 1.30pm.
Laois will face Kerry in the quarter final with the victor of that game going straight into the All-Ireland semi finals.
But the loser will be eliminated.
