There are two patients being treated in critical care units for Covid-19 in Portlaoise Hospital.
The hospital had been Covid free on September 25 but since then, another two patients have been admitted and are fighting the virus.
These are the latest figures pertaining to the hospital as of 8pm last night.
The Covid-19 Daily Operations Update shows that there are seven vacant general beds in Portlaoise but no available critical care beds.
It also shows that nationally there are now 117 people in hospital being treated for Coronavirus.
If compared to the same time last week, it is an increase of 23 patients.
The number has been steadily rising since the start of September but it is still well below the almost 900 that were in hospitals in the middle of April.
But it is still the highest number recorded since early June.
Nationally, there are 18 patients being treated in Critical Care Units and seven of these are on ventilators.
A further seven suspected cases are in Critical Care Units with four of these on ventilators.
