A bumper week of Laois GAA action comes to a close and with it we have our latest Talking Sport Podcast to look back on the action.
Steven Miller and Alan Hartnett look back on Wednesday evening’s games where Graiguecullen got the better of Arles-Killeen in MW Hire O’Moore Park and The Heath beat Arles-Kilcruise in Stradbally.
For The Heath, it was a huge win coming on the back of a relegation letoff last year – their third such battle in five years.
Their senior status is now secure and they’ll play a Graigue side in Round 2 who had far too much for Arles-Killeen.
The two Arles sides will now play each other with the loser of that one going into a relegation semi-final.
The lads pick a Man of the Match from each of the two senior games while also discussing the Junior ‘A’ game between Portarlington and Kilcavan.
They also look ahead to Round 2, which will take place next wee.
