Today, presenter Steven Miller is joined by Ballyfin manager Killian Fitzpatrick to look back on their thrilling win over Rosenallis.
Fitzpatrick guided Ballyfin to intermediate success in 2014 and to a senior semi-final last year. On this occasion they came from six points down late in the first half to win a very exciting game by 3-10 to 2-12.
Incidentally it was Ballyfin’s first time ever to win the opening game in the senior grade meaning they cannot be dragged into a relegation battle.
Rory Delaney reflects on O’Dempsey’s big win over Courtwood and Alan Hartnett was watching Portlaoise v Ballylinan and also caught the end of the Clonaslee v Mountmellick game.
We pick a man of the match from all three senior games as well as discussing the junior championship action which included impressive wins for Park-Ratheniska and Camross.
As well as that we look forward to all of Tuesday night’s action.
Incidentally, both Killian and Rory are teachers and face a big week as the schools re-open for the new term. They chat briefly about what lies ahead for teachers, students and parents.
