Portlaoise Hospital continue to treat one patient with Coronavirus and another who is a suspected case – the latest HSE figures shows.
As of 8pm last night, the confirmed Covid-19 remains in intensive care – where they have been since Sunday.
Meanwhile, the suspected case is presumably awaiting the result of a test to determine if they too have the virus.
This comes as the Department of Health confirmed another new case of Coronavirus in Laois last night.
That is two days in a row that we have seen an increase and there have now been 267 confirmed cases in the county.
The Covid-19 Daily Operations Update shows that there are 21 vacant general beds in Portlaoise but no available critical care beds.
It also shows that nationally there are now 14 people in hospital being treated for Coronavirus.
Four are in the Mater, three in Tallaght, two in Kerry and one each in Galway, Sligo, St Vincent’s and Portlaoise have one each.
