Gardai seized drugs, quantities of cash and made arrests following a number of searches in Laois and Offaly over the last number of days.
Between Friday May 8 and Sunday May 10, local Uniform Units, Laois/Offaly Drugs Unit and District Detective Units carried out a number of searches in Edenderry, Tullamore, Portarlington and Mountmellick.
€8,560 worth of drugs were recovered while two men in their 30, at separate locations, were arrested and charged.
Gardai gave descriptions of the different raids as follows:
“Search 1 resulted in €1280 Amphetamine, €580 cannabis and a quantity of cash seized.
“Search 2 resulted in €3500 cannabis seized with a male in his 30s arrested, questioned and charged to appear in court at a later date.
“Search 3 resulted in €1,200 cocaine and a quantity of cash seized.
“Search 4 resulted in €2,000 cocaine and a quantity of cash seized – male in his 30s arrested, questioned and charged to a appear in court at a later date.”
