The death has occurred of Pat Lillis, who was manager of ACC bank in Portlaoise for many years.
Mr Lillis, who was originally from Clare, lived in Portlaoise and was heavily involved in a number of community groups.
A highly-regarded man in business and community circles, he later became an auctioneer after finishing in ACC.
He was to the forefront of a number of local groups – including the Lions club and Portlaoise Toastmasters.
He was also a prominent member of The Heath Golf Club.
He passed away peacefully on May 2, surrounded by his loving family.
Pre-deceased by his brother Tom, he is survived by his loving wife Mary, son Paddy, sisters Marion and Mary, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Given the exceptional current circumstances, a private funeral took place in Portlaoise on Monday.
