A Laois secondary school has been encouraging the school community to connect together and promote positivity online during this current crisis through a ‘Photography Challenge’.
The students, staff and families in Mountrath Community School have been practicing their photography skills while out and about within their 2km radius in the past few weeks.
In an effort to encourage posititvity and activity within the school community, a challenge is set each week for students and staff.
Themes to date have included: Nature Around Us, My Pets and Animals and Staying Active.
Participants were also encouraged and commended for their fundraising efforts in the community for the Do it for Dan project.
This week’s challenge is in conjunction with Active Home Week in the school as the staff and students aim to get active for 60 minutes each day.
Teacher Ciara Nolan explained: “This has been a very positive activity that our students have engaged in.
“You can search #mcsphotochallenge on Twitter to see the full selection of photography from the MCS school community.”
