The Dunamaise Arts Centre kick started its 10th anniversary celebrations during the May Bank holiday weekend in 2009.
There was free spectacular festivities featuring a fantastic day of family fun activities at the Dunamaise and at Portlaoise town plaza.
The Dunamaise opened its doors on the Saturday to welcome children and adults alike for a fun day filled with balloon modelling, face painting, singing and percussion workshops, performances by Laois School of Music and much more.
Tumble Circus performed two shows on Sunday May 3 and wowed audiences with their musical comedy, trapeze and acrobatics.
The acrobats also blew out the candles on the 8ft tall tower of cakes and the crowd joined in to sing Happy Birthday to the arts centre.
The events were organised as part of a year long festival to celebrate the Dunamaise Arts Centre’s 10th anniversary.
