On Wednesday March 4, the prefects in Mountrath Community school held a most successful coffee morning for their classmates.
A prefect is a pupil who has been given certain responsibilities in the school.
It was an annual tradition, and always enjoyed by all involved.
Mrs Anne Moore, the chaplain, said that the idea came from the prefects.
She said that all the cakes and pies were prepared by these wonderful young leaders to be enjoyed by their peers and friends.
Mrs Moore added that the year group had a lovely time celebrating their final year with their friends.
It was a great day for the entire school community.
