Less than a week after it was announced that 20 jobs were going to be lost in Mountmellick – another 20 have come on stream.
Nostra are a next generation managed services provider with a constant focus on Security and Business Continuity.
Founded by Laois native Kevin O’Loughlin, they are a Lucan Based IT firm and have has opened a second, state of the art office in Laois in the Digital Hub in the Mountmellick Development Association.
The O’Loughlin family are a well-known Laois family and Kevin and Barry’s father, Tom O’Loughlin owned O’Loughlin’s Bar and Grocery in Rosenallis for many years.
Tom O’Loughlin was also an Executive Officer on the Laois GAA County Board and was a key driver, as Chairman of the Football board, in the appointment of Mick O’Dwyer in 2013.
They looking to fill positions in all areas of the business, including: Help Desk engineers; Professional services engineers; SharePoint Consultants; Project managers; Service Delivery management; Pre-sales; Account management; New business development.
Kevin, a finalist in the EY Entrepreneur of The Year Awards, founded Nostra along with Gary Byrne and Senan Finucane in 2006 and was joined in the business later by his brother, Barry O’Loughlin.
In its start-up days, Nostra had a team of just five people and has now grown to a business with just over 100 employees with turnover expected to exceed €13 million by the end of the year.
Nostra anticipates rapid growth and intends to expand further over the next three years. A recruitment drive is currently underway as Nostra look to boost their staff numbers to 150 by 2022.
