The Portlaoise Pantomime group staged their 36th annual production last week from Saturday 18 to Saturday 25.
This year’s production was Robin Hood, a timeless classic and is one of the best loved fairy-tales of all times, adored by both children and adults alike.
And it was definitely adored!
Tickets flew out the door and the Dunamaise theatre was packed every night.
The story unfolded in Sherwood forest told by Barney the bear and Blossom the fairy.
When King Richard departs, the kingdom falls into the hands of his brother King John and the nefarious Mumsie who along with the wicked Sheriff rule the land.
Robin Hood and his band of Merry Men defend the villagers of Nottingham from the evil rule all while rescuing the lovely Maid Marian, Robin’s sweetheart.
The show was full of fun and laughter and even a happily ever after!
Our photographer Jordan Harrison was there and he captured some great pictures.
