Kite Entertainment (makers of ‘Ireland’s Fittest Family’ and ‘Gogglebox Ireland’) is in development for a new dating show.
They are looking to match rural romantics with city slickers in the hope that the dates from the city will ditch their lives in the big smoke for a more rural lifestyle – and are looking for Laois participants.
They say: “Do you live in rural Ireland? Are you finding it difficult to find romance? Whether it’s due to location or work commitments finding love can be hard.
“We want to match rural romantics with potential dates – dates that may be willing to ditch city living for a more rural lifestyle.” say producers.
The show is based on the BBC Two hit series ‘Love in the Countryside.’
The original British show follows seven rural singletons looking for love with the help of host presenter and farmer’s daughter Sara Cox.
We expect the Irish show to follow much the same format.
So for any singletons out there, you could find someone willing to swap the Luas for a tractor and find love in 2020.
