There was deep sadness in Laois last week following the sad passing of a very well-known businesswoman.
Caroline Malone, née Flynn, passed away following a battle with illness.
The Ballybrittas native owned and managed Bambinos creche in the village where she cared for hundreds of children over the years.

Two local GAA clubs – for which Caroline’s husband and son have played in the past – both paid tribute to her.
Courtwood GAA said: “We were very saddened today to hear of the passing of Caroline Malone (née Flynn) of Kilbracken.
“Caroline’s husband Seamus and son Matt have both played with our club and the extended Flynn family have a long association with our club.
“Our sympathies to all of Caroline’s family and many, many friends.
