ADHD Ireland will host two free information sessions for the public, both taking place on Monday, January 20.
The session will take place at ADHD Pathway, St. Fintan’s Hospital, Portlaoise with an information session for parents taking place at 10am.
General information session which will include information for teachers and for adults at 7pm.
All are welcome and refreshments will be provided.
ADHD Ireland are the national charity supporting adults and parents of children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.
ADHD Ireland, formerly known as HADD Ireland, has recently re-launched and are now expanding its services throughout the country, including rolling out additional supports in the Portlaoise area.
CEO ADHD Ireland, Ken Kilbride said: “With ADHD prevalent in 5% of the population (or one in 20), ADHD is present in most classrooms and many workplaces.
“We have seen that with the right level of support and education, when diagnosed and properly treated, people with ADHD can reach their potential and lead happy successful lives.”
