This was not the first time the house had caught fire.
A fire has broken out in Portlaoise.
The fire broke out this evening in the Beechfield estate on the Mountmellick road.
It’s believed the fire broke out in an empty house to the front of the estate.
Two fire engines are at the scene now.
The house is believed to have caught on fire twice in recent times.
Once on 23 December and last summer also.
