Laois Sports Partnership will be hosting a Rathdowney-Errill Activity Hub Workshop on Monday, December 16.
The workshop will take place in Rathdowney Community Centre at 8pm.
The event will give locals the chance to have their say in what they want in their community after it was announced that Laois Sports Partnership will receive €114,200 next year.
The funding is part of a investment package of €4.2 million in Dormant Accounts Funding for a wide range of sport and physical activity measures countrywide.
The funding will be spread across multiple groups throughout the county.
Rathdowney-Errill Activity Hub has been given €66,700, €20,000 has been given to SVT Community Sports Hub while €10,000 has been given to Youth Leadership in Laois.
Sports Inclusion Disability Programme Capital Supports will receive €8,500 and €9,000 is going to Volunteer Training & Support Programmes.
This news was recently announced by Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, Shane Ross TD, and Minister of State for Tourism and Sport, Brendan Griffin TD.
This project involves the development and delivery of specialised Sports Leadership training for young people providing a stepping stone for learners into employment and also into further education or training.
