The Irish Wheelchair Association are set to have an open day/ showcase of art this coming Wednesday the 4th of December.
The event is aimed to showcase the number of services the IWA provide and the Art Programme which is provided in the Resource and Outreach centre.
The Irish Wheelchair Association is Ireland’s leading representative organisation for people with physical disabilities.
They have a large network of people and staff based all around the country.
Today their association is made up of 20,000 members and 2,300 staff as well as a number of dedicated volunteers.
The aim of the association is to represent those with physical limitations and to help them enjoy a better standard of life, they do a lot of work to make sure there are adequate facilities for those who need them and aim to ensure there is never any mistreatment of those who are ill-abled.
The event is taking place in St Fintans campus on the Dublin Road, Portlaoise from 12-2 pm.
