Funeral details have been announced for the late Kevin Culleton from Portlaoise, who died suddenly in Lanzarote last week.
Mr Culleton, who was only in his early 60s, passed away while on a family holiday.
A retired prison officer, he was a hugely popular member of the Portlaoise GAA club and a minute’s silence was held in his memory at Sunday’s Laois senior football final in O’Moore Park.
Kevin, who was originally from Clonaslee but a former senior championship-winning hurler with Camross, was involved with Portlaoise GAA club over the past 20 years or so.
His reposal is strictly private at the family home on Friday. On Saturday he is reposing from 3pm with rosary at 8pm and again on Sunday from 3pm with rosary at 8pm.
His removal takes place from his residence at 11.30am to arrive at SS Peter and Paul’s Church for 12noon mass with interment afterwards in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery.

Kevin was the dearly loved husband to Gemma (nee Doran), cherished father to Ailbhe, Kevin, Eve and John.
He is also mourned by Gearóid (fiancé to Ailbhe), Keith (partner to Eve) and adoring grandfather to Aoife.
Deeply regretted by his brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
