Wet weather at Electric Picnic 2014 failed to dampen the spirits of the 41,000 festival-goers that descended on Stradbally.
The festival hosted some performers who will be in attendance again this year such as Hozier and The 1975. Other acts included London Grammar, Sinead O’Connor, Lilly Allen and Blondie.
Despite rain and mud, the event was a big hit and one festival-goer even proposed to his girlfriend.
On the Saturday evening Leon Ryan from Castletown got down on one knee with a diamond ring in the middle of the bustling field and proposed to Fiona Maher from Mountrath, his girlfriend of eight years.
The festival offered something for all ages, with 80’s bands Blondie, Simple Minds and Bonnie Tyler proving a big hit.
Having just become popular in america, Wicklow man Hozier drew in the crowds and the sun even came out for him.
Paolo Nutini also attracted a big crowd, his audience singing every lyric with him.
Lily Allen made sure she was remembered on Sunday with enormous milk bottles on stage.
