Wednesday August 22 saw young nature lovers rejoice during a show and tell like no other in Abbeyleix library.
The enthusiastic and entertaining conservationist, Dale Treadwell, was there, showing a range of creatures from bugs and beasties to dinosaurs.
Dale also read from his books ‘Harry the Hedgehog’ and ‘Robby the Robin’ and explored lots of Irish wildlife.
The children even got to meet some in person!
Dale is well known on the Scheme for his boundless enthusiasm for all things in the world of nature.
Dales visits introduce the children to the 5 Bs of Biodiversity: bugs; butterflies; bees; bats and birds through interactive, fun and hands-on activities.
