57,000 people are to descend on the Stradbally Estate next weekend for the hugely popular Electric Picnic.
The organizers have released the site map and it has major changes from previous years.
The famous ‘Salty Dog’ stage has been moved inside the Main Arena boundary and the Oscar Wilde campsite has been relocated to make way for a new area called ‘Freetown’.
‘Salty Dog’ was always the place to have a few cans and the craic, but with this new shake-up you’ll have to leave the cans in the campsite.
It was also used as a meeting point before heading into the Main Arena, but that’ll have to change for this year’s festival.
‘Freetown’ has been introduced to fill the position of the Oscar Wilde campsite.
The new area will be a hive of activity with a music tent playing big name Djs and it also features a cabaret stage.
TodayFM were the first to break this news this morning as they are the official radio partners of the Electric Picnic.
