Bracken’s Gala is a well-known, long-established business on the Stradbally Road in Portlaoise.
And they are marking a significant milestone next weekend as they celebrate its 21st Birthday as a Gala store next Sunday, August 25, with a family fun day.
Bracken’s Gala and Maxol forecourt have been in operation for 21 years.
It’s a family run business on Stradbally Road, offering home baking, fresh deli, grocery, fantastic wines, and all your petrol and diesel needs.
The shop and forecourt have been in the same location since 1974 when Nancy and Tom Bracken raised their family in the house next door.
Maeve and Kevin Bracken currently employ 15 staff and they are ably assisted by the General Manager Ela and Deli Manager Denise.
To celebrate their 21st birthday as a Gala store, the family fun day will take place from 12 noon to 4pm on August 25.
On the day visitors will have a food, ice cream, face painting, music, the wonderful Jeca the Clown for the little ones and Midlands 103 will be there on the day also.
All are welcome to help them celebrate the last 21 years and the start of the next 21 years.
“Bracken’s would like to thank their loyal customers for continuous support; it is a pleasure and privilege to serve our customers for so many years.”
