The sun was spliting the stones on this Bank Holiday Monday back in 2004 as the annual Abbeyleix Rectory Fete took place for a 42nd year.
Glorious weather helped bring out the crowds to the landmark event.
Canon Patrick Harvey, Rector for Abbeyleix, said: “Every year a lot of hard work goes on behind the scenes; running the stalls, the side shows and games and serving the teas.”
Along with the aforementioned events, there were also prizes to be won.
Grainne Coogan won the 500 first prize while the other prize winners were;
