Tonight brings an end to another hectic weekend on the Laois GAA schedule.
Today saw four SFC games for decision, as well as two clashes in the IFC.
Killeshin and O’Dempsey’s are now through to the SFC quarter-final stages, while Ballylinan and Arles-Kilcruise are set to meet another day as a Ross Munnelly penalty earned them a replay next week.
On the other end of the scale, Stradbally are now facing a relegation semi-final as Emo claimed victory over the Little Town tonight.
In the IFC, Mountmellick’s six point win over Portlaoise means they are straight through to the semi-finals, while Annanough will avoid the drop after defeating St Joseph’s.
The draws for next round of the Laois SFC relegation semi-finals, and round three of the IFC and JFC championships were also made tonight.
Meanwhile on the intercounty scene, Laois ladies footballers live to fight another day in intermediate after seeing off Limerick, but the U16 camogie team didn’t fare as well against the Treaty county, losing out by just one point in the All-Ireland ‘B’ semi-final.
