The committee behind the unique Kolbe Special School fundraiser say they have been overwhelmed at the positive response that they have received from the public.
Bryan ‘Reggie’ Lalor has teamed up with his friend Joe Deegan for a rather novel way to raise money for a very worthy cause.
On Saturday July 6 in Dunnes Pub in Stradbally, Bryan will have a portrait of Joe’s face and half his chest tattooed onto his leg on a night of live tattooing.
The fantastic tattooist, Dan Bailey, of True Blue Tattoo will be there to sculpt the replica of Deegan onto Lalor’s limb on the night where entertainment will be provided by talented local musician Just Alice (Alice Laffan).
The committee say: “The Committee for The Kolbe School Fundraiser in conjunction with Dan Bailey OBE, Tattoo Artist
Joe Deegan, (model), and Reggie Lalor, (victim), are overwhelmed with the huge response by way of cash and spot prizes from near and far.
“Complimentary finger food will be supplied by Sylvester and Catherine Phelan.
“The event is being held in Dunne’s Bar, Stradbally, on Saturday July 6 beginning at 4.30pm.
“A full list of sponsors and amount raised will be published the following week. Thanks to all.”
Raffle tickets on the night are €2 for a strip or 3 strips for €5 while complimentary finger food will also be provided by Sylvester and Catherine Phelan.
Bryan said: “We are hoping to see a good turnout onto the night and it will be good craic too.
“It is all for a very cause as Kolbe Special School helps children from Stradbally and Laois in general.”
Best of luck to the two lads!
