A Laois TD has gotten responsibilities for a new role after a Sinn Féin reshuffle.
TD Brian Stanley will take up the responsibility for Agriculture, Rural and Community Development.
Previously, the frontbench Sinn Féin TD held the role as spokesperson for Communications, Climate Action and Environment.
This now goes to Waterford’s David Cullinane.
Deputy Stanley has been a TD for the Laois constituency since the 2011 general election.
He was elected at the 1999 local elections as a member of Portlaoise Town Council, and was re-elected in 2004 and 2009.
He was elected as a member of Laois County Council for the Portlaoise electoral area at the 2004 local elections, and was re-elected in 2009.
