This extremely busy summer of GAA involving Laois county teams sees no sign of slowing down.
Both the Laois senior and U-20 footballers have enjoyed big wins in the last week and are progressing impressively in their respective competitions.
Episode 30 of our Podcast series focuses solely on football as we look back on those wins over Kildare, Offaly and Westmeath.
The U-20s dethroned All-Ireland champions Kildare last Tuesday and continued that form against Westmeath last night.
Billy O’Loughlin’s charges were made sweat last night as they had to come from four points down to defeat the home side in extra time in Mullingar.
They now advance to face Meath in the semi final next Tuesday July 9 and are due to be at home.
The senior footballers enjoyed a 0-20 to 0-15 win over Offaly in a packed O’Moore Park on Saturday evening.
John Sugrue’s men are now set to play Cork in Thurles on Saturday where the winners will advance to the Super 8s.
