A Laois woman had to be airlifted to hospital following a farming accident.
According to Sylvester Phelan of Agriland, the accident involved cattle and took place in Mountrath.
A Garda spokesperson confirmed to the online outlet that the air ambulance had to be called.
They said that the incident happened around 1pm on Monday July 1.
They said: “Gardaí were called to the scene of an incident on a farm in Mountrath, Laois, at around 1pm on Monday, July 1.
“A female in her late 60s was apparently injured by cattle.
“She was airlifted to hospital where her injuries are not believed to be life threatening.”
