Raheen Vintage club are getting their gears ready for a Vintage Rally and Working Day on Sunday, July 21.
Corbally, on the Portlaoise road in Abbeyleix marks the spot where the club will host the events celebrating a decade in existence.
The event will have a various displays on the day, including;
- Vintage car and tractor display
- Silage cutting
- Threshing display
- Hay baling
- Auto Jumble
- Dog show
- Music & Entertainment from Rock on Paddy
- Barbecue
- An auction of farm goods which will take place in the evening
This year’s rally is in aid of three great causes; Embrace Farm Remembrance, Multiple Sclerosis Ireland Laois Branch and the Raheen Cemetery Committee.
The club has been going since 2009 since being founded by John Galvin and Paddy Dunne, going from strength to strength over the years.
They have previously many events and fundraisers such as Vintage rallys , Runs and ploughing days.
The current Raheen Vintage Club panel comprises of Chris Goode as chairman, treasurer Seamus cranny and secretary Eddie Moffitt.
It promises to be guaranteed fun for all the family for only €5 entry on the day.
