Well this certainly looked like mad craic!
Crettyard was turned into a cacophony of colour last night as Newtown NS hosted Laois’s seconod ever colour run.
Following Portlaoise Camogie’s successful event earlier this year, this was every bit as good as a huge crowd turned out.
Participants took on the 5km course, with a 1km route for smaller kids, where oloured Powder was thrown at each kilometer to add to the excitement.
All funds raised on the day went to Newtown NS and their parents association paid tribute to all who attended.
They said: “On behalf of the Parents Association for Newtown NS, we would like thank each and everyone of you for supporting us in our Colour Run.
“Without you it wouldn’t have been as successful as it was and a huge thanks to the teachers of Newtown NS who supported with this event.
“Also, thanks to the parents who gave us great help this evening and to all our helpers we appreciate all the help you gave us .
“It was a great evening the smiles on the kids faces was worth all the stress that lead up to this event.”
Our photographer Julie Anne Miller went along on the night and she captured some great pictures:
