Well that is certainly something else.
Hearts were sent fluttering in Durrow this afternoon as one of the world’s most famous musicians dropped in for lunch.
Bono, lead singer of U2, appeared in Bowe’s Foodhall & Cafe in Durrow for a bite to eat.
Anyone who has been to Bowe’s will know that it is one of the hidden gems in Laois and now one of Ireland’s biggest celebrities has discovered that too.
Speaking to LaoisToday about the experience, Sarah Bowe said they were all left ‘star-struck’.
She said: “It certainly brightened up our Monday here that is for sure.
“He walked in the door with two other people and they had coffee.
“It was actually my husband who spotted him and then we asked him for a picture.
“He was very down to earth and agreed straight away. It was lovely.
“We’ve had a few rugby players over the years in with us but certainly nobody as famous as him.”
