Under a bright blue sky and shining sun, many gathered for the annual Rock Inn Vintage Rally in May 2008.
Lots of vintage fans from around the county and the country arrived at the Rock Inn to admire the machinery.
Funds were raised in aid of Laois Hospice, and organizers were delighted with the great support from everyone on the day who contributed so generously.
The event was packed full of vintage cars and tractors with a highlight being a working threshing machine.
Another event which attracted a lot of attention was the tractor balancing competition, where contestants had to balance a Ferguson 35.
The wind turbine exhibition, displaying how green energy can work, was very popular among visitors, as were all of the events that took place on the day.
The rally was planned by a committee of 20, all members of the Rock Inn Vintage Club.
The many months of hard work paid off on the sunny Sunday afternoon where hundreds turned out to enjoy the fine weather.
Refreshments were provided for all who participated in the event, and the committee would like to thank those who worked tirelessly all day to keep proceedings running smoothly.
