Excitement is mounting all across the county for the twenty young women vying to become Laois’s next Rose of Tralee.
Castle Durrow will be provide the stunning setting for the grand finale on Friday, April 19.
This Friday night sees each worthy contestant showcase their personality, talent and personal flair at the Laois Rose selection night.
Of course, there is a lot more to their journeys than just the selection night. For weeks the Rose contestants having been meeting up and having a ball from cocktail nights to Bingo and everything in between.
The 2019 Laois Rose will follow in the footsteps of last year’s representative Grainne Hogan, who served her county brilliantly both on the Dome stage and off it.
As well receiving the coveted sash, the 2019 Laois Rose will walk away with Tipperary Crystal jewelry and an array of prizes.
MC Ollie Turner proved to be a huge success last year, and the Galway native is set to take up the role once again this year.
Each Rose contestant will have the option to present a party piece of their choice, and we’re on the lookout for one as entertaining as Grainne’s amazing milking skills on stage!
The esteemed judges on the night include 1991 Cork Rose Denise O’Sullivan, former Chair of the Laois Rose Centre Sharon Preston and manager of Laois Shopping Centre Kevin Doyle.
Get your glad rags on as there will also be prizes presented to the Best Dressed Man and Best Dressed Lady on the night, as well as a prize for Best Banner.
Tickets are €25 are available from Castle Durrow on the evening. Doors open at 6.30pm and the curtain goes up at 7.15pm.
