Portlaoise Macra na Feirme are getting their gears set to host their third annual tractor run on Easter Monday, April 22.
This year’s Tractor Run raises funds for both Pieta House and Portlaoise Macra – as it did last year.
Last year’s event raised €1,800 for Pieta House – which works with those who have suicidal thoughts or who self-harm, as well as providing counselling to those who have lost loved ones to suicide.
It proved to be a huge success with almost 70 tractors taking part.
There were representatives from vintage clubs from around the county, Macra club members, local agricultural contractors, and local farmers.
This year’s run will depart from the Rock Inn, Dublin Road, Portlaoise, at 12.30pm.
Registration from 11.30am.
Portlaoise Macra na Feirme is a club for young people between 17 and 35 interested in making friends, developing new skills or just having a good time. They are currently recruiting new members.
