The 10th annual Tri Laois organised by the local Trilogy Triathlon Club was a roaring success once again.
The Tri Laois took place on Saturday April 6 at Portlaoise Leisure Centre.
There were two options for the athletes – the Olympic sprint distance of a 750m swim, a 19.5km cycle and a 5km run or the Try-a-Tri of a shorter 400m swim and the same distance cycle and run.
The race was once again sponsored by Joe Mallon Motors, who had a prominent display of very colourful Renault Cars at the finish line.
Participants received a goodie bag including a Race T-Shirt and Finishers Medal.
Athletes came from all over the country for the event and once again proved to be incredibly popular – with a high number of spectators in attendance.
