Doody, Frances, Ridge Rd., Portlaoise, 26th March 2019. Peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Deeply regretted by her sister-in-law babs., nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, relatives, great-neighbours and friends.
Reposing at Keegans Funeral Home on Thursday from 6.30 pm with rosary at 8 pm. Requiem mass at 12 noon on Friday in SS Peter and Paul’s Church. Interment will follow in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise.
Shane O’Neill
Clondalkin, Dublin / Portlaoise, Laois
O’Neill, Shane, 26th March 2019 (Portlaoise and formerly of Clondalkin) (after a long illness bravely borne), surrounded by his loving family, in the loving care of the Donal Hollywood ward of St. James’ Hospital; Beloved son of Cathal and Agnes and loving brother of Sarah. Sadly missed by his heartbroken parents, sister Sarah, aunts, uncles, cousins and his close circle of friends.
Shane will be reposing at his home in Clondalkin on Thursday from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral Mass on Friday at 11am in The Sacred Heart Church, Sruleen, Clondalkin and afterwards to Newlands Cross Crematorium. Family flowers only. COOPER – Leslie (of Blackrock, Co. Dublin, formerly Templeogue and late of The Pike of Rushall, Co. Laois), at home on Tuesday 26th March 2019, in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Blanche, much loved and devoted father of Twila, Daryl, Bill and Colleen and loving father-in-law. Adored Grandad of Murray, Simon, Katie, Rebecca, Daniel, Ben, Robyn, Emily, Adam and Shona and great-grandfather of Louie. Brother of Floss and the late Vere and Gladys. He will be fondly remembered by family, friends and colleagues.
Reposing at home on Wednesday (March 27) from 5pm to 7pm. Thanksgiving Service on Thursday (March 28) at 3.30 pm in Mount Jerome Crematorium Chapel, Harold’s Cross. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to Blackrock Hospice or the Simon Community.

O’Neill, Stephen (formerly of Old Bawn, Tallaght), March, 24th, 2019 suddenly; beloved son of Anne and Seán and dear brother of Yvonne, Áine and the late Sinead; he will be sadly missed by his loving family, his father’s wife Dawn and her daughter Marie, nieces Gabrielle, Isabelle and Kayla, nephew Cruze, extended family and friends.
Reposing at Fanagans Funeral Home, Tallaght Village on Wednesday (March 27th) from 5pm until 7pm. Removal on Thursday (March 28th) to the Church of St. Martin de Porres, Old Bawn arriving for 10am Funeral Mass and afterwards to Newlands Cross Cemetery. All enquiries to – 01 451 6701.
Nora Phelan (née Holohan)
Fairview, Dublin / Laois
Phelan, (Née Holohan) Fairview, Dublin 3 and late of Tullacommon, Co. Laois on 24th March 2019 (suddenly) but peacefully at home, Nora, beloved wife of the late Tom and treasured mother of Gerard, Mary, Fiona, James, John and Frank. Very sadly missed by her loving family, daughters-in-law June, Linda and Alison, grandchildren Thomas, Katie, Conall, Laura and Ella, sisters-in-law Maureen and Mary, cousins, extended family and wonderful friends.
Removal on Thursday evening from the Kirwan Funeral Home, Fairview Strand to Church of the Visitation, Fairview arriving at 5.30pm. Funeral on Friday morning after 11am Mass to Killasmeestia Church, Borris on Ossary, Co. Laois arriving for prayers at 3pm approx. followed by burial in adjoining churchyard.
