You cannot beat old pictures – and we are going way back here.
Photographer Alf Harvey’s trip around the Laois primary schools back in the early years of the 2000s was a great idea.
And these pictures from 19 years ago are testament to that.
He was in Barrowhouse school Shanganmore in March 2000 when he got these classics.
Smiling faces, games of chess and a just a general happy atmosphere greeted him that morning.
We recently reproduced Alf’s visit to Camross NS from 2001 and that too proved to be very popular.
We reckon all of the people in these are in their 20s now and there are certainly some memorable faces.
