A fire has broken out in a building adjacent to Portarlington railway station.
Emergency services including ambulances, three fire brigades and Gardaí are now at the scene at Station Road in the town.
It comes during peak-time for commuters.
Bus transfers will operate from Portlaoise to Portarlington.
Delays of up to 50 minutes to services out of Heuston can be expected as a result.

Iarnród Éireann previously tweeted that services will not stop at Portarlington, as traffic will continue through Portarlington but will not stop there.
