It’s always a most enjoyable day and this year’s St Patrick’s day festivities around Laois will bring a bit of fun and joy to every community in the county.
We reckon there will be 13 parades across Laois over the course of the day.
This is down two from last year as Durrow and Portarlington are not hosting festivities this term.
The first parade of the day takes place in Vicarstown at 9am and it is one of three parades in the parish of Stradbally as Timahoe kicks off at 10am with Stradbally the last at 11am.
The parade in Rathdowney will begin at 1pm and those taking part are asked to assemble at St Fergal’s College by 12.30pm.
Meanwhile, the RTE camera’s will be in Mountrath on Sunday for their parade.
The biggest parade in the county is in Portlaoise and it is going ahead from 12.30pm.
The 5km Streets of Portlaoise will be held before hand at 11am.
Anyway, we’ve compiled the list of all the times of the parades around the county.
