Rory O’Connor, the man behind the hugely popular Rory’s Stories is one of the guest speakers at an information evening for Leaving Cert students and parents being organised by People First Credit Union in Portlaoise.
The free Practical Information Evening for students and parents preparing for the Leaving Cert and going to college is on Wednesday, March 13, in the Midlands Park Hotel in Portlaoise at 7.30pm.
The hugely entertaining Meath man – who has over 450,000 followers on Facebook where he acts out relatable sketches of day to day situations – will talk about his experiences and will be joined by other speakers – Sean Dunne, who is CEO of People First Credit Union, Mary Quirke, a Careeer Guidance CMary Quirke ounsellor and Damian Butler, the Budgetary Officer in UCC.
With a host of high-profile speakers and an amount of useful information, it promises to be both an engagin and insightful evening.
This evening is open to students and parents from schools across the People First bond in Portlaoise, Stradbally, Abbeyleix, Ballinakill, Heywood and Athy.
