A well-known figure in Laois GAA and camogie circles is set to appear on the upcoming series of First Dates Ireland – which begins tonight.
After the success of Camross native Eoin Scully on last year’s show, we’re sure producers of the popular dating series were chomping at the bit to get another Laois man on the screen.
Now, Michael Boyhan will be hoping to find love on the fourth season of the match making show.
Michael is not due to appear in tonight’s episode and LaoisToday understands he will feature at a later stage in mid-February.
The Mountrath man is a familiar face to those on the Laois hurling and camogie scenes.
He has been involved in both hurling and camogie underage setups, and came into the Laois U-20 hurling backroom team in a strength and conditioning role alongside manager David Cuddy.
In 2017 he was strength and conditioning coach with the Laois minor hurling team and was also involved as a hurling coach in Mountrath Community School.
In 2018, he was an integral part of the management team for Slieve Bloom who won the Intermediate hurling title in Laois – defeating Camross in the final.
Michael is also well-versed on the Twittersphere, and we were able to dig through the archives to find a Tweet he sent when Scully appeared on First Dates Ireland last year.
