Dylan Daly, 63 Broomville, Portlaoise, Co. Laois. January 7th 2019, peacefully at Portlaoise Regional Hospital. Sadly missed by his Mam and Dad, Joe and Andrea, his sister Macy and his brothers Alex and Ryan, his grandparents Jack and Kathleen, Denis and Geraldine, his cousins, aunts and uncles and all his friends.
Reposing at his home 63 Broomville, Portlaoise on Tuesday evening from 4pm until 9pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 12 noon in St. Peter and Paul’s Church, Portlaoise followed by burial in Bealady Cemetery, Rathdowney. Family flowers only by request. Donations can be made to the Kolbe Special School, Portlaoise.
Ellen Shortall (née Kiely)
Aughamaddock, Stradbally, Laois / Templemore, Tipperary
Ellen passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving family at Portlaoise General Hospital. In her 91st year, beloved wife of the late Martin. Dearly loved mother to Mary, Sheila, Helen, Bernie, Ann, Andy, Brigid, Tom and Thérèse. Sadly missed by her sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, her 39 grandchildren and her 16 great grandchildren. Deeply missed by her loving brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives neighbours and friends. Ellen will repose at her son Andy’s residence in Aughamaddock, Stradbally from 2 pm this Tuesday 8th January, with recital of the Rosary at 8 pm Tuesday evening. Removal from Aughamaddock at 11.20 am on Wednesday morning to arrive at The Sacred Heart Church, Stradbally for 12 noon Requiem Mass, followed by Interment in Oakvale Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu to the Irish Heart Foundation.

Dunne. Tony, Glendowns, Portlaoise and formerly Lord Edward St., Mountmellick and Camira, Rosenallis. Retired Prison Officer. Peacefully surrounded by his loving family, at the Midlands Regional Hospital, Portlaoise. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Mary, daughters Regina and Tracy, sons Tony, Greg and Damien, sister Josie, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Reposing at Keegan’s Funeral Home, Portlaoise on Tuesday evening from 6.30pm with rosary at 8pm. Removal on Wednesday morning to SS Peter and Paul’s Church for 10am Requiem Mass. Interment will follow afterwards in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Mountmellick.

Joseph (Joe) Abbott, Mannin, Pike of Rushall, Mountrath, Co.Laois. Died 5th January 2019 (Peacefully) in the tender loving care of matron and staff of Brookhaven Nursing Home, Ballyragget. Deeply regretted by his brother John, nephews, niece, sister-in-law Enid extended family, relatives and friends. Removal on Monday morning to Annatrim Church, Coolrain, for Funeral Service at 11.0’clock, followed by burial in the adjoining Churchyard. Family flowers only please.

Funeral prayers on Sunday evening at 7.00pm folllowed by removal to the Church of the Assumption, Ballyouskill. Requiem Mass on Monday morning at 11.00am followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Predeceased by her daughter Lorraine (Hogan) and son – in – law Gerry McCarrick. Deeply regretted by her husband and family, Brenda (McCarrick) Dublin, Aideen (Maher) Ballacolla, Claire (Dolan) Tullamore, Gemma (Duggan), Pauline (Fitzgerald), TJ and Cormac, grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Reposing at her home from 5pm on Sunday. Recital of The Rosary at 9pm. Funeral arriving for 12 noon Requiem Mass on Monday in St. Manman’s Church, Clonaslee. Burial after in St. Manman’s Cemetery. House Private Monday Morning Please.
