We are kick starting 2019 with plenty of stories as Portlaoise GAA celebrated their way into the new year, new jobs were announced in Laois and the search for the next Laois Rose got under way.
There were plenty of feel good stories but with the good comes the bad and the littering and criticism of a Portarlington school have made the list.
