Brought to you in association with Expert Laois
May you live in interesting times is an old proverb – and Laois musician Damien Bowe certainly fits that category.
The Shanahoe native – but now Timahoe resident – sat down with us as part of our LaoisToday Christmas Video Interview series where he looked back on his early musical memories and how it led to being part of a boy band that looked to follow in the footsteps of Boyzone and Westlife.
Being selected to be part of the band D-Side, touring the UK, mixing with celebrities and then trying to make it in Japan.
He explains how the D-Side experience came to an end, how he continues a big involvement in music and how music is a great skill for young people to have.
Bowe now fronts the very popular wedding band The Vows and works in the HR Department in UL.
You can watch the interview in full here.
The LaoisToday Christmas Video Interview series is being broadcast on the LaoisToday website and on our Facebook and YouTube accounts at 8pm every evening over Christmas. The second episode will air tomorrow evening.
