This was a great night back in November.
It was a positive year for GAA in Laois and the awards ceremony in the Midlands Park Hotel was very well attended.

What a brilliant night that was!
The annual Laois GAA awards took place in the Midlands Park Hotel with over 300 people in attendance.
The night was MC’d by Midlands 103 supremo Will O’Callaghan while legendary GAA commentator Brian Carthy was the guest of honour.
After a fantastic meal, the Laois senior footballers were first on the stage to receive their Allianz National League Division 4 medals.
Then it was on to the individual awards where men and women were recognised for their achievements at all levels of the game.
Arles-Kilcruise’s John Conway was inducted into the Hall of Fame for his contributions to the game as a player and a referee.
While Portlaoise’s Ollie Byrne was give the ‘Lifetime Contribution Award’ for all he has done for his club and county.
Both men received a standing ovation from the crowd who were present and deservedly so.
Our photographer Julie Anne Miller was there and she got some brilliant pictures.
