Irish Rail service users may face delays this evening after a lorry crashed into a railway bridge in Portlaoise.
According to Irish Rail there will be some delays to rail services through the town.
It is believed that an arctic lorry crashed into the Mountmellick road railway bridge in Portlaoise at around 4pm today.
Traffic in the area was delayed for a short time in the area but the incident was cleared.
This incident will have a knock-on effect for rail customers this evening.
