Midlands 103 brought home a staggering amount of accolades at the National Radio Awards last Friday, October 5.
Among those to gather top prizes on the night was Midlands 103 presenter and Laois native Ann Marie Kelly.
Ann Marie picked up the Best Magazine Programme with her The Open Door broadcast and Best Specialist Music Broadcaster.
Only local radio station to win two gold awards
Abbeyleix woman Ann Marie picked up two golden awards in both categories and Midlands 103 was the only local radio station to win two gold IMRO awards on the night.
Ann Marie is highly involved in local events in Laois, and MC’d the LaoisToday launch night was November.
Will Faulkner received silver in the Speech Broadcaster – Local/Regional and his programme Midlands Today was the runner up in the Current Affairs Programme category.
Midlands 103 was nominated in six categories in total.
