Gardai have launched an investigation after a stabbing incident in Laois last night.
The Irish Independent are reporting that the incident occurred in Portlaoise last night.
They say that the stabbing happened in O’Moore Place at approximately 8pm last night.
The victim is a man in his 30s, who was allegedly attacked by another man known to him.
The Independent say he was taken to Portlaoise Hospital to be treated for his injuries.
Gardai are investigating and it is unclear at this stage if anyone has been arrested.
