Three Laois men and one woman were among the 185 Gardai who passed out at Templemore College on Friday.
Gavin Conroy from Mountmellick, Eoghan Mahony from Portarlington, Mark Bartley-Fitzgerald from Portlaoise and Killeshin native Aoife Mannion graduated with their peers from Garda college recently.
Mannion and Mahony will be stationed in Tallaght, Bartley-Fitzgerald is off to Navan while Conroy will be deployed to Ballymun.
And there was more good news for Laois as it was revealed that four new gardai would be stationed in Portlaoise.
Limerick natives Darragh Stapleton and Daniel Sheehy will be joined by Sligo woman Aisling Power.
While former Tipperary defender John O’Keeffe will also join Portlaoise Garda Station.
They all passed out at a ceremony in Templemore last week.
